Position:
Director of Engineering (Job Code:1001)
Duties:
Responsible for implementing and optimizing advanced manufacturing software solutions for global industrial customers; collaborating with R&D teams to ensure successful adoption and integration of CAD/CAM and additive manufacturing workflows into customer production environments; leading implementation and technical deployment of customer software solutions at customer sites; researching and analyzing special benchmark projects for customer’s strategic needs, with an emphasis on high speed machining, focused in the tool and die machining industry; determining feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements; demonstrate software solutions and conduct technical reviews of program specifications accordingly to customer requirements; collaborating with R&D to define, validate, and refine features based on real-world manufacturing requirements; providing engineering expertise in process setup, build simulation, support design, and data preparation for metal additive manufacturing; directing cross-functional teams responsible for technical success, customer satisfaction, and post-deployment optimization; conducting detailed engineering analyses to improve part manufacturability, design efficiency, and production repeatability; developing best practices, automation templates, and training materials to scale product adoption across diverse industries; managing technical relationships with OEM partners and enterprise customers to align product capabilities with application requirements; apply knowledge of mechanical design automation, additive manufacturing processes, and production engineering workflows to perform duties; and guiding and mentoring engineers in solution delivery, process troubleshooting, and technology transfer activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Training: None;
Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, as a Senior Manager – Engineering, as an Engineering Manager, as a Lead Engineering Supervisor, as a Mechanical Engineer, as an Application Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Will accept five (5) years experience in the position above, as a Senior Manager – Engineering, as an Engineering Manager, as a Lead Engineering Supervisor, as a Mechanical Engineer, as an Application Engineer, or in a related occupation, in lieu of the primary education and work experience requirements.
Other Requirements: Experience must include three (3) years use of all the following: advanced manufacturing software solutions, CAD/CAM, mechanical design automation, additive manufacturing processes, production engineering workflows, solution delivery, technology transfer activities, process troubleshooting, engineering analyses, build simulation, and metal additive manufacturing.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
